In winter, speed down the slopes at Holiday Valley ski resort. Gentle runs that wind through the trees are suitable for beginners, while expert black runs will keep experienced skiers challenged. Holiday Valley also offers snow tubing and all the twisting, turning fun of the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster.

Test your courage at Sky High Adventure Park, a high ropes obstacle course with several difficulty levels with fantastic ziplining. Ellicottville also offers less intense sporting activities, such as golf, hiking and horseback riding.

Wander around town admiring the 19th-century buildings. Relax in the tranquil Nannen Arboretum, an attractive conservation area in Ellicottville’s center. Head 8 miles north of town to Griffis Sculpture Park and admire contemporary artwork set amid the rolling, tree-covered hills. Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino and Allegany State Park are just 15 minutes away.

Food plays a key role in Ellicottville with 23 awesome bars and restaurants. Taste a local craft beer, wine or visit a distillery. “Clean room in a convenient location with access to pools and playground for the little ones. We have a 2-year-old and it was perfect for keeping him entertained. It is also a very short drive from Allegany State Park and is absolutely gorgeous! It is perfect for hiking, biking and even a beautiful lake to Kayak in! Don’t forget about “Thunder Rocks” for some monster rock climbing fun! If that isn’t enough, there’s the adventure park that’s right nearby as well. We will be back for sure!”

“Had a great time!. The place was very clean and spacious. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Amenities are great. Fun to swim outside in the cold weather. Pool was warm and hot tubs were hot. Kitchen has everything you need (pans, coffee and coffee maker, dishes, dish soap and towels, etc.). Bathroom has shampoo, soap, and lotion, plus plenty of towels. Giant soaking tub! Two TVs with cable. DVD player. Nice fireplace turns on with the flip of a switch. So close to the town full of cute shops and restaurants. Took a trip to sculpture park (close drive). Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!”

“This place was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, awesome view of the ski mountain. Ski in/ski out was super nice and convenient. The hot tub/pool was amazing to swim in after a long day of skiing. This place is also a 3-minute drive into the town of Ellicottville where you can eat at a bunch of restaurants and bars. There are also restaurants right on-site. I will stay here every time I go to Ellicottville to ski. Highly recommend it.”

The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub area is a 30 second walk down the hall on the same level as the room. The room has an outdoor balcony with a view of the slopes/ golf course. The host promptly replied when I had a question. I would definitely stay here again.”
